What you’ll learn

How to create an interactive video in Creatium Studio by adding engagement points such as questions, pauses, and activities that transform passive watching into active learning.

Creating your interactive video

Step 1: Start a new interactive video

1. Go to the Create tab in Creatium Studio and select Interactive Video.

2. Choose how you want to begin: prompt with AI, add your own text, upload a slide deck, from PDF file, or build from scratch. Each approach will convert the materials, either uploaded or generated with AI, into designed slides with narration and provide the ability to add activities into the video.

Step 2: Add your video content (example: prompt with AI)

1. Describe the topic with a sentence or two, select your audience type, language, and dictate learning objectives (select “suggest” for AI to develop them for you) and click the “Create editable draft” button.

Step 3: Finalize your draft reading

  1. Review the AI-generated reading material that will convert into slide content and narration. If needed, make edits directly to the text or refine with instructions in the refinement box on the left.

  1. Once reviewed, select the “Next” button to convert the reading to slides.

Step 4: Set the look and flow

  1. Select your presenter and template.

  2. Assign the interactive video to a project destination.

  3. Select the “Generate slides” button to create the slides.

  1. Once the slides generate, select the “Start editing” button.

Step 5: Edit your slides and video narration

  1. Review slide content, update images by right clicking images to replace images with an uploaded gallery, public images, or AI-generated images or infographics.

  2. Review and edit the narration at the bottom of the slide editing canvas.

Step 6: Add your interactive elements

  1. Navigate to the left panel and select the “Interactives” button.

  2. Select your interactive type:

    1. Exercises: quizzes, drag and drop, and more.

    2. Simulations: custom simulations, games or immersive assessments.

    3. Coach: add AI Coaches to your video.

    4. Roleplay: create roleplays with AI characters.

    5. Embeds: add published videos as files or YouTube links, PDFs, excel sheets, or website URLs.

  1. Select an existing interactive or select the “Create new” button to make a new interactive.

  1. Create a new exercise workflow example:

    1. Select your exercise type, template, language and provide a sentence or two about the activity and your goals. The more specific your activity description the better!

    2. Click the “Generate” button to create the activity.

  1. Refine your activity and add it to your slides

    1. Test the activity yourself, selecting various responses.

    2. Refine the activity in the prompt textbox or edit directly in the code tab.

    3. Once finalized, select the “Next” button to add the interactive into the video.

d. Refine the title, tags and description as needed.

e. Add activity to the library for duplication and sharing with collaborators.

f. Select “Add to slides” once finished.

Step 7: Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to create your desired interactives
